The Gardens of Ireland

The Gardens of Ireland projects aim is to promote garden tourism more extensively within Ireland, the Garden Island. With our initial members who open gardens to the public, our goal is to provide the fully independent traveller and also tour group organizers with all the required information to plan their journey around our truly unique and wonderful horticultural destinations.

With easy travel routes by air and by ferry from the UK, USA, Europe and beyond, Ireland has now become a popular destination for tourism. Garden tourism in particular attracts many thousands of visitors each month and the Gardens of Ireland Trust aims to showcase the diversity of plants and garden design within our shores; the country actually possesses three different plant zones.

Membership of Gardens of Ireland is not restricted in any way, and we welcome members from all levels of garden display, from enthusiasts with smaller garden displays opening a few weekends each year, to large scale public gardens with hundreds of visitors each day. With Gardens of Ireland, our members are kept aware of all matters and are given the opportunity to promote ideas and share experiences with like-minded owners, through workshops, etc.

As an organisation, Gardens of Ireland offers both local & international tour operators and independent guides, access to a wide resource of information for itinerary planning, sourcing complementary services and additional visitor facilities & attractions. In partnership with Gardens of Ireland such organisations will be given help so that their customers will receive wonderful experiences showcasing the very best gardens on the island.
