Hunting Brook featured on BBC Gardeners World
We're delighted to see Hunting Brook, one of our members gardens, featured on BBC's Gardeners' World.
We invite you to explore and come on a journey. Like Alice, we ask you to step through the looking glass and be prepared to be enchanted by Ireland – The Garden Island. For a small place we are uniquely blessed by a wide variety of gardens, large and small, ancient and new, formal and wild. There is something for everybody.
Your journey starts right here, but the real adventure will begin when you set foot in your first garden so prepare to be amazed as you visit places where the passion and style of the owner are on display with each garden expressing its owners personality.
As in all good adventures, the glories of each garden will surprise you as you walk around and each visitor will find their own special place or plant. Maybe it will be something you recognise, but will not expect to find in this part of the world; this is all part of the magic of Irish gardens at all times we should expect the unexpected.
Our weather gives us the edge over many other places, so don't be surprised to find many different plants from the four corners of the world growing in our small country.
Whether you are an expert or someone with just a more casual interest in gardening you will be welcomed by all the gardeners here; they will be more than happy to spend time with you and pass on their stories so, we, the Gardens of Ireland Trust, invite you to our Irish gardens, to breathe deep, relax, take your time to explore and immerse yourself in their wonders.
