Hunting Brook featured on BBC Gardeners World
We're delighted to see Hunting Brook, one of our members gardens, featured on BBC's Gardeners' World.
These are uniquely created gardens nestling in the countryside near Ballyclare, County Antrim.
In 2016 they featured as one of the top ten secret gardens in the Uk in The Guardian newspaper.
The setting for the gardens is a 17th century landscape complete with the original cottage, barn and farm layout extending to 16 acres.
Sensitively integrating these elements is a six acre garden containing one of the province’s most extensive borders to enthrall the visitor.
Ballyrobert Gardens have many delightful features such as the traditional entrance, fairy tree, hole tree and Celtic spiral. These nestle handsomely with the lawns, lake, streams, formal garden, orchard, meadows and woodland.
Visitors have the opportunity to relax and have a cup of tea, freshly baked scones and tray bakes in the tea room.
On site is one the province’s few specialist retail nurseries which is stocked with a wealth of cottage garden type plants.
