Formed in 2015 through the collective thinking of several like-minded and enthusiastic garden owners, the Gardens of Ireland Trust was formed to meet the needs for promotion and research for garden tourism in Ireland.

Now established, the Gardens of Ireland Trust has become the umbrella body for provincial and national garden organizations throughout Ireland, both North and South.

Mission Statement

To generate development and growth of the garden experience sector by:

• being the national platform through which garden organizations and organizers come together with common goals;
• developing programmes, resources and services;
• promoting the role and benefits of Ireland gardens and gardening activities as integral components of our communities and their tourism offering;
• fostering increased visitation to gardens and participation in gardening activities.
